NORWICH CITY BETTING PREVIEW WITH TEMPOBET

17 February 2017

BURTON’S tough run of fixtures continues on Saturday, when they host in-form Norwich City, who still have ambitions of playing Premier League football next season.

Nigel Clough’s men head into the game on the back of a 4-1 defeat away to Brighton but will be pleased with the effort his players showed against a high-class opposition.

While the promotion hopefuls netted four goals, the scoreline doesn’t reflect the overall balance of the game, with Burton going toe-to-toe with their opponents at the Amex.

But the Brewers need wins and will welcome a home fixture heading into a busy period of the Championship season.

With just two points separating them from the relegation zone, a win at the Pirelli at the weekend would come as a boost while in the midst of a difficult run of games.

After beating QPR, the Brewers have faced Fulham, Wolves and Brighton with rivals Derby following on from this Saturday’s game.

But their opponents may just be their toughest test, with Alex Neil’s side really hitting their stride in the past few weeks.

Unbeaten in six, winning four of them, has propelled the Canaries back into play-off contention following a poor run during the mid-point of the campaign.

Norwich managed to hold leaders Newcastle to a draw midweek, with Neil admitting they rode their luck at times with the Magpies striking the woodwork twice.

The attacking prowess of Cameron Jerome, Wes Hoolahan and Jonny Howson is a key reason in Norwich’s upturn in form but Burton will fancy their chances at the Pirelli.

Michael Kightly has kept up his good goalscoring form since joining the club and netted the consolation during the defeat by Brighton.

The winger has added a new dimension to way Clough’s side have been playing and will be confident heading into Saturday’s clash.

You can back the winger at 14/5 with club sponsor TempoBet to score anytime.

A win is crucial as we head into the final stretch of the Championship campaign, with home games being key in our boys’ survival.

You can back them at 11/4 to pick up all three points.
