Striker makes loan move permanent
Burton Albion loan striker Stuart Beavon has today agreed a permanent deal with the club, subject to paperwork.
The 30 year-old striker initially joined from Preston North End on a season-long loan deal in the summer, but he has today had his Deepdale contract terminated, paving the way to sign a permanent deal at the Pirelli Stadium.
Beavon has made a promising start to life in East Staffordshire, scoring two goals in his first five appearances – including the winner against Exeter City in August and his new deal runs until the summer of 2017.
“Stuart has been one of our most influential players since joining in the summer and I’m really pleased that he’s committed his future to us on a longer-term basis,” said manager Gary Rowett.
“Everyone here has seen his ability and hat he brings to the side, and hopefully it’s a sign of things to come throughout his time with us,” he added
